HS OverTime Rules

ALL JV - games do not have overtime - a tie is a tie

Section 5. Pre-match warm-up. A minimum of twenty minutes shall be allowed for warm-up prior to the scheduled starting time. Visiting teams have access to fields no more than one hour prior to game time.

Section 6. Length of Matches. Conference play matches will be two (2) halves of forty (40) minutes playing time. When time is kept on a scoreboard, the scoreboard will be stopped at two (2) minutes. The referee on the field will keep the remaining time. His/her clock will be the official clock. There will be a 10-minute half time.

Section 8. Tie Games. Games can end in a tie.

F. Two five-minute â��sudden deathâ�� overtime periods will be played when a varsity match is tied at the end of the regulation play. If tie remains then a shoot-out will take place according to WIAA option of procedure for shootouts (60.4.1-1).

G. In case of darkness (which prevents the determination of a winner) the match will end in a tie.

B. Two forty-minute halves will be played with a five-minute halftime. The scoreboard will be the official time for varsity matches, including stoppage time.
C. A minimum of twenty minutes shall be allowed for warm-up prior to the scheduled start time.

F. Tie Matches â�� Two five-minute "sudden death" overtime periods will be played when a varsity match is tied at the end of regulation play. The match shall remain a tie if it remains tied at the end of the overtime periods.
G. A sub-varsity match, when tied at the end of regulation play, will remain a tie.

HS - Please Read

The laws of the games (HS) say, and we have been ASKED by the coaches to. You MUST tell both coaches what yellow card or red card you gave BEFORE you restart the game. You do not need to tell them what happened. You need to tell BOTH coaches "Yellow for USB", or "Red for Foul and Abusive Language".

USSF Testing and Registration

USSF 2012 testing and registration for 2012 is different this year. Please read this whole email before starting the process. Testing will be online and registration will require printing out both the USSF registration form and the WASRC form.

TESTING:

Online testing for 2012 registration is now at your personal computer! It is available in both English and Spanish. The test itself is very easy to take.

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS

Instructor: You may select any instructor

If you don't pass the test with a 75% (Grade 7, 5, & 15 need 85%)or better you have to wait to retest. If you have a problem with the test or if you do not get at least 75%, contact the instructor that you named or email Tim Epps tim.epps@comcast.net

To complete the registration you will need the following:

WA State Re-certification form, electronic version printed from the WASRC site. Obtain the WASRC form by logging on to the WASRC site, Click on Referee then Education then Training then the Acrobat Reader Format icon. You may use a paper copy completed by hand (you will not receive a badge until your test score is verified): http://www.wasrc.org/documents/recertification.pdf.

Registration Fee - A check (payable to WSRC) or cash, The Fee Schedule is as follows:
- $50 (Grade 8)
- $55.00 (Grade 7)
- $85.00 (Grade 5 &6)
- $10.00 (Assignor)
- $40.00 (Assessor Grade 9)
- $45.00 (Assessor Grade 7)
- $75.00 (Assessor Grade 5 & 6)
- $40.00 (Instructor Grade 9)
- $45.00 (Instructor Grade 7)

The above Process applies to everyone currently registered for 2009, 2010 or 2011. To remain certified, you must complete this process BEFORE December 31, 2011. If you attended a Entry Level Clinic in June, July, or August as a NEW REFEREE, then you are already certified for 2012 and do not have to follow this process until this time next year. If you are not sure, check your profile on the WASRC web site.
